Cameron Bishop

Cam has extensive experience building, buying and running companies.  For over 30 years, he has managed companies owned by a broad range of international and regional private equity funds as well as institutional private equity.

Cam’s 30+ years of business experience cover a broad array of business scenarios involving start-ups, product line extensions, organic growth, mergers and acquisitions.

His career began with a critical role in building and managing a company that grew from $7 million to $400 million in revenue and $100 million in EBITDA over a 23 year period.  As CEO for that company, he managed a workforce of nearly 2000 employees located in 23 U.S. cities and several foreign countries requiring extensive international travel across well over 20 countries.

Following that, he developed a business plan for the launch of a rapid build leveraged roll-up company, secured private equity funding and launched a new company which grew from nothing to $120 million over a 3 year period.  That company included over 500 employees based in7 U.S. cities and required the creation of all processes, systems, key management and infrastructure.

Most recently, he completed a 5-year assignment involving the transition of a niche media company into a full service custom content and marketing services agency designed to exploit recent trends requiring companies to more effectively and consistently engage their customers.

His background also includes prior experience in management consulting with very diverse assignments including talent assessment, sales force evaluation and recruiting,  to marketing strategy and execution, business brokering and interim CEO for a multi-billion dollar private company.

Coupled with his operating and management background, he has extensive M&A and deal integration experience.  He was instrumental in evaluation, negotiation and acquisition of over 30 transactions with deal value over $500 million.  Further, he has been involved in the preparation and sale of over 20 businesses with divestiture value of over $100 million.

Over the years, he has been the focus of articles in a variety of publications including the NY Times, KC Star, Ingrams, Kansas City Business Journal, Crain’s B2B, Medical Marketing & Media, Trade Show Executive and several others.  Further, he has been quoted or published in six books on topics ranging from sales and marketing to HR and the future of the U.S. media industry.

Cam is a lifetime resident of Kansas City and holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri School of Journalism.
